What media is used?

  • After evaluating many alternatives, TempChecker is currently using barcodes and iButtons.
  • Our software supports almost any media. As prices come down and reliability improves, we are evaluating RFID and GPRS.

Data Collection Devices:

  • There are numerous barcode and iButton readers on the market today. We have software for six, but we can adapt to any of them.
  • Our recommendation criteria is based on:
    1. Cost;
    2. Ruggedness;
    3. Reparability; and
    4. Ease of Use.

On-Site Computer:

  • The data must get from the data collection device to the cloud.
  • Currently we use an easy, reliable download/upload software app running in the background on almost any on-site computer.
