TempChecker was specifically designed to give businesses the ability to better manage their contract labor utilization.
Independent Time and Attendance Service designed for contract (hourly) employees.
TempChecker provides unique personal IDs, either barcode labels or iButtons, for each contract worker. They are normally given to the temp by the Staffing Agency before they arrive at your facility. Independent readers are placed at all the entrances and exits authorized for use by the temps. When the worker arrives or departs they “sign in” using their personal ID. Periodically that data is collected and transferred to a secure server. After that, a variety of reports are available to any authorized user, anytime on any computer.
Monitor each Department’s contract worker’s hours as well a total on-site hours.
In addition to capturing the exact date and time of arrival/departure, TempChecker may also capture similar information by specific department or group. This is done by adding inexpensive readers to all chosen work areas. When the temp reaches their assigned work area, they “sign in” again. They follow this process throughout the day, regardless of the number of areas they may work. For example, you pay the Staffing Agency for the on-site time and you charge the appropriate Department for the time spent in their work area.
Reports directly compare actual “on-site” hours to “invoiced” hours.
TempChecker has a particularly versatile report writer. In most cases we can create a report that uses the same parameters as the Agency’s invoices. (We can also report on multiple agencies at a single facility.) You should be able to see a direct comparison between “on site” hours versus “invoiced” hours.
Monitor Contract labor usage consistently across your entire Company
TempChecker was designed to offer unlimited scalability. You can setup your entire organization structure. TempChecker can create reports tailored and appropriately summarized for each level. Additionally, the reports will be in a consistent format all across the company.
Compare contract labor usage – by facility, by organization level, by Staffing Agency
Greatly reduce HR conflicts
Administering all the aspects of “permanent” employees is a huge job, involving payroll, benefits, training, vacations, etc. Managing “permanent” employees also involve a variety of large, complex software systems. While there are many checks and balances, HR does not want contract workers to accidentally contaminate those systems.
Contract worker administration is much simpler. As a result HR strongly prefers to pass that task to Operation Managers. Fortunately, TempChecker greatly reduces that administrative burden, plus it provides Operations with more detail to manage their labor budgets. TempChecker is totally independent of existing systems, focused on contract labor, and much more cost effective than trying to add them to “permanent “systems.
Dramatically reduce internal IT requirements
We all experience difficulty in getting IT folks to respond to non-number 1 priorities. Rarely does administering contract worker rise to that level. Because TempChecker is a Service and our Number 1 priority, you will have no problem getting our support. TempChecker is Software as a Service type of business. It should require no internal IT resources to install, execute, or maintain. Plus, modifying a company’s existing IT systems to include temps has proven both problematic and expensive.
