TempChecker provides Managers the ability to see important trends over time – days, weeks, months, even years.
Metrics vary from company to company, but since temp hours are commonly budgeted less rigorously than permanent labor, it may be important to see how actual contract labor usage compares to what was budgeted. Several possible example reports are shown below:
At the lowest level, the Manager is concerned where they are actually using the contract workers, i.e., the specific cost centers or departments. The example below shows the actual use of temps by Cost Center within Acme’s Texas facility.
For companies that have multiple facilities, it may be important to consistently and accurately monitor contract labor usage by facility. (Is it more or less that budgeted?) The example below shows contract labor usage at all three Acme facilities – Texas, South Carolina, and California. (Because TempChecker is web based, this metric could be easily monitored worldwide.)
Many companies use multiple Staffing Agencies and other Subcontractors to provide contract workers. It may be important to see how many hours are purchased from each provider. The example below shows that Acme uses five different Staffing Agencies, to varying degrees at their three facilities.
